Specific responsibilities for our Line Cooks include, but are not limited to, the following:

– set up and breakdown of your assigned station

– follows recipes and plating instructions as directed by tour Kitchen Manager

– executes orders as they are recieved in a timely, accurate and efficient manner

– assists with prep as needed during slower periods

– participates in the cleaning of our kitchen and executes other small weekly projects as requested

We have high expectations of our kitchen staff but also provide an exciting learning environment as our menu selection changes seasonally. This candidate could be exposed to butchering whole animals, a bountry of local, fresh ingredients, and industry professionals who are willing to teach and guide if a dedication and willingness to learn is shown. The ideal candidate is able to multi-task, remains organized during busy, peak hours, maintains a positive disposition with other staff, does not cut corners, asks management for help when needed and has a go-getter attitude with a strong work ethic.  This is our family business and we hope to welcome indiviudals who are passionate about the service & food industries and view their role here as a craft rather than just a job.

Now in our nineth year in business, nana is a farm-to-table, seasonally inspired staple restaurant in the Bridgeport neighborhood. We offer brunch service daily with several rotating weekly specials. The business aims to provide comfort food grounded in Latin American and Mexican roots and exceptional guest service in a warm, inviting atmosphere. We are opening our second concept in just a few weeks directly next door to nana.  Our back of house team is professional, punctual, friendly and lends support to other team members as needed. We expect candidates applying for our position to believe in a respectful work environment  and a strong support system.
